Salvador Dalí El escritor ruso Nikolai Gógol (1809-1852) fue víctima de intensas ansiedades y mostró en su Diario de un loco -publicado en 1834 - el desarrollo de un cuadro clínico compatible con lo que hoy sería la esquizofrenia. Narra la historia de un burócrata quien a través de las diversas humillaciones que sufre, experimenta trastornos eróticos y demenciales. En octubre 2012 el actor Mario Iván Martínez, en complicidad con la directora Luly Rede, monta en el Teatro Helénico una adaptación conjunta sobre este texto.
